Mummy of grandfather Ptah

                                                         Mummy of grandfather Ptah
The grandfather of Ptah served as a "priest / servant of Amun" during the reign of King Sheshonq I of the 22nd Dynasty. This prominent position during the 22nd Dynasty was not a religious position but was used by the Libyan generals to control the Taybeh region in Upper Egypt, and at the same time ruled Lower Egypt. Before other kings in Tanis .... there were marriage relations between the two houses, which were necessary to maintain peace in Egypt, where neither of them seemed strong enough to control the entire country
Jed Ptah was buried in a cache in Deir el-Bahari
The mummy is in very good condition The examination has shown that the priest died at a very young age.
